ABOUT

Hopi Allard is an award winning filmmaker, living in the UK and working internationally.
His formative years spent in a van on a remote commune in New Zealand no doubt feeds into his way of seeing the world. Travel and accessing that feeling of a foreign perspective is a huge inspiration to him.

His career began in the early 2000s in Los Angeles in the dark shadows of post production, assisting Ridley Scott and editor Pietro Scalia on the adaptation of Robin Hood. It was during this long process with countless re-writes, that he jumped at an opportunity to step out of the darkened suite and capture some temporary scenes. This experience ignited his passion for visual storytelling and marked the beginning of his journey as a director.

Hopi’s body of work is a marriage between the ethereal and visceral. Each story is told humbly, with finesse, traversing genres effortlessly, each project wielding an authentic voice.
